10 types of refrigerated foods that are no longer tasty, even toxic, and many people still don’t know
Because of habit, sometimes we put some food in the refrigerator because we think the low temperature of the fridge makes them safer. But in fact, these foods should not be stored in the refrigerator:

Potatoes
When potatoes are put in the refrigerator, the starch can be converted into sugar. Therefore, when cooked, they can combine with asparagine amino acids and produce acrylamide, a highly toxic substance that has a negative impact on human health.
Therefore, if you want to store potatoes, you should keep them in a dry and dark place. Or you can bury them in dry sand to make them last longer, or wrap them in newspaper and put 1-2 apples inside.
Onions
If onions are stored in the refrigerator, the moisture and cold air in the fridge will make them soft and prone to mold. If the onion has been sliced, it can also become dry in the fridge even though you have wrapped it tightly. In addition, the odor of onions can make other foods smell bad. You should keep onions in a perforated paper bag and in a cool place.
Beer and soft drinks in the freezer compartment
Sometimes you forget to take out the beer and soft drinks from the freezer compartment to cool them down quickly, but if you forget to take them out, they can become bombs. When you open the fridge, they may explode and cause fatal accidents. So be very careful with this.
Bananas
The cold air of the refrigerator will make the skin of bananas turn brown, but the core inside remains intact. However, this can make them less tasty. The low temperature of the fridge also slows down the ripening process of bananas. It is best to store bananas at room temperature and eat them when they are ripe. Wrapping the top of the bunch of bananas with plastic wrap will help keep them fresh longer.
Garlic
Garlic can quickly sprout when stored in the fridge. Moreover, they quickly become shriveled and dry. Therefore, it is best to keep garlic outside the fridge, in a perforated paper bag.
Fresh herbs
If fresh herbs are kept in the refrigerator, they will absorb the unpleasant odors of the fridge, so when you eat them, you will find that they lose their original taste and aroma. Therefore, if you must store them in the fridge, you should wrap them tightly in banana leaves, put them in a zip-lock bag, or put them in a container before placing them in the fridge.

Tomatoes
When stored in the refrigerator, tomatoes lose their flavor and no longer taste fresh. In addition, the low temperature of the fridge also hinders the natural ripening process of tomatoes. Tomatoes should only be kept in a place with little light and eaten immediately when ripe.
Coffee
Coffee absorbs the odors of other food very strongly. So if you store coffee in the refrigerator, it will be contaminated with the smell of other food, reducing the flavor of the coffee.

Cooking oil
Cooking oil is already a natural preservative. Therefore, you should not put it in the refrigerator. Some types of oils such as olive oil, coconut oil, when put in the refrigerator, will solidify and become difficult to use.
Honey
Honey is a natural food, but when stored in the refrigerator, it crystallizes. This makes it inconvenient to use and the taste of honey is no longer consistent.
